OMG!!!! Another real scratch Bakery! When we moved to Michigan, I thought the move to a winter centric site would be a bona fi for access to good bakeries. BOY WAS I WRONG! The thumb is at least a BAKERY DESERT! It makes Murphys a true local treasure. It's 30 miles away, but that's all up here. The Haul didn't last for a long time at home, but when was the last time that you found TOTAL SCRATCH CREAM HORNS, CANNOLIS, CREAM PUFFS, ECLAIRS (without crossing in Canada) and I don't talk about mass-produced shells that fill them, but scratch all the way! I have no chance to try the donuts. I was there at 10:00 and they were sold out. She mentioned that had 150 customers from around 6:00. They open the doors at 4:00. I think I might have found ourselves a Michigan alternative to our Lexington Kentucky Spalding's Bakery, which I previously considered one of the best I was. Murphys Bakery gives them a run for the money. If you haven't tried Murphy in Badaxe MI, it's worth it, but go EARLY! I'll get pictures on the next trip. I was too excited to remember taking some snapshots.
