Pine Star Restaurant

Visited this restaurant for lunch. Good food, clean place, good price. Will visit again. There's an ice cream store next door as well! Definitely recommend both.

Pine Star is a GR8 Restaurant, particularly for Breakfast. A lot of people confuse the Pine Star, with the Pine Yard. Pine Star is located out at the Esso Gas Station on Hwy#62, towards L'Amable. Pine Yard is a Chinese Restaurant downtown in Bancroft, basically right across the road from the Chrysler Dealer. By the way, the Pine Yard Chinese Restaurant is also a very, very good place to eat.

This by far is our favourite breakfast place. Its your typical greasy spoon and the food is made with love. You can substitute anything, they have REAL butter for your toast (must ask for butter), coffee is great and staff very nice. Usually, I have bacon and eggs with rye toast and home fries. This is one of the few places that has gravy for my home fries :) Please note: they are moving for October 1, 2014 to 29516 Hwy 28 S beside Kawartha Dairy. New name is "JJ's Diner".

As a family, we went to this restaurant and had supper and breakfast. We enjoyed our meals. For the money, you get a very good amount of food. It was hot and tasty. I would eat there again. I would recommend this place to anyone.

If you have ever been to a small town restaurant where everyone seems to know everyone...This is the place! The type of place where the locals get a hug from the waitress and she takes a minute to talk with you without giving up service. The food was what you would expect coming from your moms kitchen..The soup of the day was GREAT! It took a little longer than you expect in the 'city' to come out but worth the extra 10 minutes. The prices were decent, the service wonderful, just expect the decor to be clean but basic. Overall, a great experience and meal. Going to be back next week!

Been going here for a few years now , probably eat here about 6 times a year , I have only been for breakfast , you can't go wrong with eating here , prices are good , food is hot and fresh and service is great . If your in the area looking for a good hot breakfast and not have to wait long for it , go to The Pine Star !!!!
