Very nice restaurant situated outside just the cavendish area in the community of Stanley bridge. Excellent food and service. Recommend sitting out on the outside deck while sipping a refreshing beverage. Will return in 2017

This restaurant met all of our needs right down to the finest details. An aerator was included with our wine, the lobster mac and cheese was unbelievable and our server was very attentive and knowledgable. The restaurant was located at the Gables of PEI so it was also very convenient and close. Skip the bus tour lobster suppers and come here. it will be worth your while.

The Red Door Oyster Co chowder was the most delightful, flavorful chowder I've ever had. We enjoyed our visit with the chef as much as we did the unforgettable meal. Our week at PEI was full of countless highlights, and our visit to Red Door was right up at the top of the list. We returned on Friday, only to find that they were closed for the night, serving up their creative flair at a local cook-off. Sorry to miss them, but we'll look for them on a return trip. Many thanks again to Chef Ross Munro, his passion for good food, and his fabulous staff.

What a lovely visit we had at this new restaurant! From the perfect cocktails (ordered after much consultation with the bartender/owner/?chef) to the not-exaggerated-about chowder, super fresh salad, yummy lobster macn'cheese, and finally to a wildly decadent sticky pudding dessert, it was a truly memorable meal. Our server was exceptional and we enjoyed our chat with the Fella in Charge. Prices were typical for a touristy area, but we considered our meals to be great values for the portions and presentation.Highly recommended!

We tried the Red Door based on the claim that they had one of the best seafood chowders on PEI. Trust me, that is true! Amazing fresh seafood, cooked just for your chowder. It was by far the best chowder I have ever had. And the cheese biscuit fresh from the oven was so good. You just have to try it. We also had one of their wood fire oven pizzas. Again so tasty, nice variety of toppings and crispy thin crust. Excellent! Can't wait to go back.

The menu is limited and the space is small, but the chowder and biscuit and lobster roll with unique slaw and innovative potato salad were awesome. It is not the cheapest lobo roll on the island, nor the most expensive, but stuffed with fresh and tasty lobster neither dry nor swimming in sauces. Excellent. The chowder was chock full of clams, mussels, scallops, and white fin fish, with a touch of shrimp for good measure. Very tasty and apparently the only Gluten free chowder on PEI for those who care. With or without gluten this is an awesome bowl of chowder. Great job folks!

The good: The food was amazing. They are serving high end gourmet food at this tiny café just outside of Cavendish. The seafood chowder was probably the best I've ever eaten in my life. The bad: The air conditioning made the restaurant so cold that we chose to eat outside, even though it wasn't exactly warm out.The ugly: I think the waitress forgot about us outside because after about 10 minutes I got tired of waiting and had to go inside to give my order (despite her telling us she'd be back out shortly to get it). The waitress wasn't busy so I'm sure she'd just forgotten we were there. Despite being forgotten, I'd highly recommend the food here.
