I knew of Roast's commitment to locally sourced ingredients and innovative cuisine; yet I was still so very impressed with the unique and delicious offerings. The shop was spotlessly clean and cheerful. The staff was friendly and helpful. I came for the Peruvian pork-belly tacos and also had the maple apple slaw and sweet potato tots. Then I was rewarded with a to-die-for salted caramel brownie. Everything was just amazing! And even the bottled water was locally sourced. Roast also serves wine and beer. There is a lighted patio with entertainment, as well. I live two hours away but I will definitely be back! No wonder they were named the Best New Restaurant in 2021.

I stopped here the other evening after a walk around the reservoir and was very impressed. As someone who primarily eats plant based, I was really excited to see several vegan and salad options on the menu! The salad I had was colorful, fresh, and light yet filling. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items.
Great experience! Friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced, very generous portions, and delicious food! I had the prescription Ramen and it was amazing! So happy Roast is practically in my neighborhood but would make the drive even if it wasn?t. The drive through will be amazing when Fall activities start again and I can get quality food for my family while on the go. Well done!
I was so ready to love this place because it has vegan options.. however, the pulled pork sandwich was so bland. The slaw had no zing or pop of freshness to it. Maybe a different BBQ sauce would have made it more flavorful. Regardless, the sandwich was okay. Not bad but not good. This restaurant was so highly recommended and I want to love it but I can't after my experience today. Maybe it was an off day but for $10.99 plus tax for just an okay sandwich... I don't think I'll be back.
Hands down the best no Crab, CRAB Cake... The reason why 1 star is deducted, is because for the price there is no side included with the sandwich.! Consider adding homemade chips, or sliced celery, something!!!! The JackFruit Pulled Pork is not my favorite, it was salty and had an odd Jackfruit shell embedded in the sandwich, unpleasant surprise in my mouth.. The Farm to table selections are so good it?s hard to pick just one! The hospitality and presentation put into each dish is second to none. Can?t wait to go back again and again.

Roast is Moore County?s best kept secret! The delicious food, friendly and accommodating staff, and incredibly talented chef whose attention to detail and love for the community are evident make it the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner and support local! I had the Chef?s Roast Beef and sweet potato tater tots. There are loads of great options, including vegan, gluten free, etc. I?ll be going back and telling my friends!
