Salsitas Grill

my man and I have lived in la plata a very long time, and the one we missed is a good Mexican restaurant. our experience last night was excellent! helen, who served us our wonderful margaritas, chips and salsa, guacamole and dinner, was so sweet and so helpful. it was really a wonderful and very good experience. we come back in definitiv! true hidden gem. and let me not forget one of my biggest problems with restuarant in general. all that I have of the tables, floors, walls, plates, cutlery, glasses, the menu, were clean (yes! everyone has to try. real Mexican cuisine.

It was my Birthday and this place was close to my home, plus, it was somewhere none of us had eaten. Had I known the bar wasn’t open, I would have probably chose another place. They advertised Margarita’s, and I knew my friends would enjoy that. The restaurant currently he no liquor license. I made a reservation, but they never tried to look it up, so they weren’t really prepared for our group. The servers where pretty friendly and engaging. I will probably visit again when the weather is cooler and the bar opens, so that I can sit outside!

They just opened so I know it may take some adjusting, however, the food was not good. The pricing was decent if the food was worth it but unfortunately it was not. The sign says Restaurant and Bar, but there was no bar. No cocktails, beer, or wine at all. This was a girlfriend's night so yes, we wanted to have a few cocktails. The staff was not friendly. There was maybe three table occupied when we walked in and no one gave us the time of day. I had to ask ask the gentlemen sitting at the non-existent bar for help.

Excited to try a new place ! Outdoor seating was closed but it looked really nice ! Restaurant was clean and service was good . I will say the bowls which they serve the salsa and salad dressings were super tiny .. had to keep asking for more but that’s not a huge issue . I got the Chicken Sopas, they were good ! Everyone enjoyed the food but said it may need a little more flavor . Will be back again .

My family and I ordered loaded nachos, quesabirrillas, tacos and flan for dessert. Everything was cooked fresh and delicious. Our waiter was new/in training and his service was excellent. He checked on us periodically and was very friendly.
