Wow. BBQ was amazing, no sauce needed. It was a nice compliment, but unnecessary. I'd take the 5th grade. The pages differ from most places, but still good. Cole Slav is vinegary and had sesame seeds, baked beans were not very sweet. You have the idea. Many outdoor seating, ideal for children. It's BYOB, but I think they have a winery that sells wine and beer. It was just too early for us to partake. They're no more cash.

I'm a transplant to Texas from the Middle West. There are things I love in every place where I live. But when I discovered what was real Texas BBQ, I was firmly committed to the fact that I had to acquire the Pit Master skills for which this state and the Hill Country of Texas is particularly well known. One of the most famous and popular around Austin is the Salt Lick BBQ. I heard the stories, but never went until last night. My wife and I were in the center of Texas for the weekend and we thought we would avoid the rush by going by for a late dinner. When we arrived there, the car park looked like the Disney World car park; as many vehicles. We checked the waiting times and told us an hour and fifty minutes. I thought we had come so far, we could wait just as well. It turns out they opened a table for us in about fifteen minutes. The service and the food were all I heard to be. I was very impressed. I forgot to make pictures of our food. But we also ordered dessert; Blackberries and pancakes. I highly recommend checking this place.

Good mood. Suitable for the family to a little escape. I love the bride, very tender. The pork ribs were rich in smokey taste, but a bit hard for me. Your bbq sauce was great. I wish we could subdue the side beans with other options because we don't really like beans so much. You also have bread, but you have to ask for it.

Wow! What can I say about Salt Lick that was not already said! We stopped today after hiking in Perdenales Falls. We were welcomed to some good changes in the restaurant, like no more cash only, credit and debit cards are now welcome. I had my ordinary Burst-End Brisket (best in Texas) and Bison Ribs. I've never had Bison ribs and boy, I wasn't disappointed. I added coke Slave as a side and it was a great meal! I had to go home because I was so full. Stop Salt Lick and you will not be disappointed!

Well worth the 960 mile drive from Colorado! Amazing flavor, tender smoked meat. The chicken was my favorite. Eating here has been on my bucket list for many years. Can't wait to return!

First time here, staff was friendly all around. Definitely filling with the great portions. Be sure to save room for the peach cobbler a la mode. Beer and wine served next door at their cellar, but they close early. They now take cards too.

My husband I really enjoyed your smoked brisket, sausage turkey! May I suggest labeling your sides for those of us on restricted diets as to gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. You were pretty busy, so I just avoided your sides only ate the meat. It was wonderful, but only eating meat is not very satisfying.

Their barbecue has great flavor. We had the brisket and pulled pork. The lean brisket is cut with a fork tender, burnt ends are delicious, and the pulled pork was excellent.
