This is a great place. The lady who runs it is honest and knowledgeable. We have bought chickens from her multiple times.

I have purchased ducks, turkeys and chickens including Red Star layers and Jumbo Cornish Rock Cross meat birds) from Schlecht's Hatchery yearly since 2001. I have had the orders shipped and have picked up my orders. I have always received quality birds at the best price available. I have never received a dead bird. The JCR's I've purchased from them have been absolutely awesome. The birds are BFT Big, Fat and Tasty). In Iowa, Schlecht Hatchery is the best available choice and I highly recommend them. You can rely on them for quality.

Miss Etta is very friendly and knowledgeable about her birds. They are healthy and very vibrant. I have been going here for three years now for all my meat birds and turkeys. Fair pricing and even has feed, so it is a one stop shop. Love it!

Great place for chicks.

Etta always has healthy chicks and conveniently stocks feed, both at fair prices. The grandkids love these cuddly critters, even as they get their feathers.
