Sunset Grille Chestnut Mountain

first visit. we wanted to get away from galena's bustling weekend. Although we have made reservations for grilling, they were not sitting in this restaurant, but they had only opened the bar and the grill restaurant. beautiful sunset view of the river and the ski slopes. we had the brisket and purse strips. the fish was delicious. the brisket was stuffed a little too much in bbq sauce. we would go back for the views not necessarily eating.

that was beautiful. the waiting staff was helpful and friendly. the menu was simple, but the quality of the food was great, and it was delicious.

I had the laugh that was very good and was accompanied with a very tasty sauce. my man had the ribs that were also very good and well prepared. the brokkoli was made to perfection and not overcooked and tasteless. our compliments to the cook!

The best part of the experience is the view. Service was subpar and the food was overpriced and just ok.

The Walleye strips and brisket burger were both great. The view of the river was beautiful. It took a long time for a server to take our order. My husband had to go back up to the hostess to get assistance.

We had made reservations days prior to our arrival and hrs before arriving I got an email to confirm our reservation. I replied back to let them know we would be there. When we arrived there was a sign where you would normally enter to go and see hostess saying to go next door to the summit restaurant and check in there. We checked in min before our reservation time and the young girl said sorry we’re not seating anyone at the Sunset grill as there is a wedding there today, I explain to her that we had reservations that were days old and that no one had said there was a wedding or couldn’t accommodate us. She just shrugged her shoulders and said well follow me so as we walk through the summit restaurant she brought us to her table in the middle of the restaurant and I asked can we sit where there’s a View and she said oh sorry we can’t separate those tables. When all she had to do was pull the two tables apart so at that point I was pretty perturbed and said to her well we wanna sit there anyway, another waitress came over and said oh sorry you can’t seat them there at which time I said kindly oh no we’re going to sit here thank you very much and sat down. Our waitress Yolanda was very nice, speedy with our drinks and was in generally good spirits. the rest of the staff that brought our food out was very impersonable set our food down didn’t say a word to us and walked away five stars for Yolanda one star for the rest of the staff.

Very few choices for pescatarian. Mahi, mahi fish tacos. They were good
