my man and I celebrated our 3-day high time in debruce and stayed several times during the planning in the hotel. the dinge could not have been more perfect! from high-time planning (with several reschedulingen due to covid) to gas friendship, eating, personal and annoying itself (beautiful location and hotel style) was all dreamy. the dings that remind our families most: eating (rull, it is excellent) and the amazing staff. the room prices look expensive first, but they include a first class multilingual dinner and a great breakfast that makes the total cost very reasonable.

the debruce surpasses the expectations in every sight. the hotel is beautifully designed and every small detail is well-thought out. eating is amazing and the rooms (including the beds) are so comfortable. my fiancée and I had received a car accident on the way to dinner in the debruce and the staff was so generous and accommodating. we had no intentions to stay at night, but they gave a room for free and were so friendly during our dinner (which was fabulous). thanks to the staff in the debruce!

eating is excellent: every dish thought out, adventurous and elegant. the atmosphere: minimal and the grounds are impressive. the personal: such a nice group of people! a warm and welcoming staff that does not try to sell their experiences on their back. bring them a good book and stay at the fire! get spa services in their sister's house, kenoza hall. the massages are divine.

My wife, daughter, and our little dog needed a quaint and sanctuary vacation from our daily lives of working in the city. We recently moved to the city from Honolulu, Hawaii and finding a beautiful space dedicated to celebrate our daughter's one year birthday was challenging to find but my wife discovered The Debruce. This oasis seemed a carbon copy of what Hawaii has to offer, friendly staff, fresh local ingredients, miniaml aesthetics, clean environment, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and the Aloha Spirit! Did I forget to mention the VIEW! It's relaxing and necessary to the SOUL. Courtney was so kind and professional from the jump, she invited our small family with kindness and grace, made us feel welcomed throughout our stay, everything you could ask for she went above and beyond! The hospitality felt warm, authentic, and natural. The staff even took care of our daily pet fee. The entire staff from the bartender downstairs to our breakfast server was attentive, friendly, and our shared conversation was amazing! The compound was beautiful, the tasting menu was specular and much better than we have imagined. A hidden GEM! A must Stay for anyone looking to unplug from life for a few hours. Mahalo, Arigatoo, and Thank You So Much

My wife and I needed a little vacation from our normal lives and after some research this hotel stood out. It's always been recommended to us by a close friend and we gave it a try for our 8th year wedding anniversary gift to ourselves. The drive up away from northern NJ was less than 2 hours. It's a straight shot up NY-17W and you start to see that the Catskill mountains are greeting you with their beautiful greenery and smooth windy roads. Follow your GPS on pristinely paved Debruce road and you'll see that it ends up at this beautiful hotel. After you park your car and enter the front doors you're greeted warmly by the concierge and are given your room key and given the lay of the land pool/bar downstairs, dinner tasting at 9 (our scheduled time), we can choose to hike, go into town and explore or just hang out by the pool and wind down. The room we had on the 3rd floor had a very comfortable queen sized bed and a beautifully updated bathroom and that's it, no obscene sized TV which brings you back to your normal everyday routine, but there is good WIFI where you can keep connected to the world if you so choose. This is the type of room which encourages you to nap and recover whatever energy you spent whether it be trying the local cuisine in Livingston Manor or hiking the dozens of miles the trails offer all around the area, 5 of them being right in the backyard of the hotel. Dinner was a whole other experience. The chefs looked like a professional crew derived from Top Chef contestants. The dinner staff were extremely educated on the food being served and also the wine choices that were available. You can also opt to have the wine tasting with the food tasting where you get a technical description of the wines from the hotel sommelier. There were two pages listing 12 main courses (with sub-courses in some). My wife also had a specialized pescatarian menu just for her. We have never eaten that well, EVER. The whole experience blew us away and made our first night there already a memory/experience we will never forget and always treasure. After dinner you can retire to your room or roam the intimately lit grounds leading to a firepit where smore's creation kits are waiting. It's quiet, beautiful and serene back there. A perfect end to the night and a great introduction into the Debruce experience. Breakfast next day was delicious. Choice of two courses from the menu. The food was just as delicious as the night before. Professional takes on traditional dishes are always amazing. Ingredients are locally sourced and utilized by the chefs. Also another amazing way to start a day. We spent the whole day exploring Livingston Manor's breweries, bakeries, and restaurants. (Doing separate reviews on them) Dinner Sunday night was a little more traditional where we got to pick what we wanted to eat. Each dish, once again, a masterpiece of flavor. Not one dish disappointed. Monday mornings are the town and hotel's rest days and our check out day. The breakfast was a buffet style spread of, once again, even more delicious takes of traditional dishes. It's hard to leave good eats like this, but the fact that this place exists means that we can always come back when we need to unwind and recharge with full bellies and an extremely satisfied palette.

Perfect place to get away and relax for a few days. During the daytime there are plenty of fairly low-key things to do...fish, swim, hike or just read a book. At night there is an incomparable dinner. Yes, the rooms are small but they are serviceable and tastefully decorated. Furthermore, the grounds and common areas are so inviting that you really shouldn't be spending too much time in your room. The staff excels in attentiveness and courtesy. This is a one-of-a-kind place.
