On the website was accepted to open for 11 and not open until 1.... I got our food Hubby's food was hot and my daughter and I was cold.., don't ask if we want pop in glass or can.. Melted like an old smell.Lady wasn't very polite.. Been before and had Great Service and Food, but it went downhill. Service: Dine in Meal Type: Lunch Price per person: CA$40–50

Fast service and nice menu options. Nothing fancy but a typical rural Newfoundland dining experience. There's also a cafe inside for coffee and sweets.
Avoid this place! One of (if not) the worst fish and chips experiences we've had in NL. My family and I were disappointed to receive dry, red fish -rather than cod. The fries were also dry and the portion was very small. If you're in Hermitage spend the gas to go elsewhere. This is not worth the price. They very much need to make improvements.
My family of four was very disappointed with the fish and chips. We were excited after hearing locals say this place was the best so we had four fish and chips. However the fish we received was red fish (not cod fish), very dry and tasteless. The fries were likewise very dry and over all a very small portion. Given the area is well known for fishing we were extremely disappointed. If you go here, we do not recommend the fish and chips. So, so disappointed.
Ordered fish and chips but the fish was very dry. So much that we couldn’t eat it all. Probably wouldn’t order fish again. Very disappointed.
