Excellent food!! We usually calm down for takeout, but finally managed to eat. The food was great: The fried scallops were very good and juicy. All fish are fresh and our server, I think he was also the owner, was extremely human and helpful. The chicken was juicy. My only wish is that more honey on the fried chicken really home with the sweet / savory combo!

I shared a fantastic meal with my husband. The lobster bisque was amazing! Everything was delicious. I had steamed Jumbo shrimps and sweet potato berries. My husband had cash and he said it was amazing. The owner/Koch was personal and friendly. From beginning to end, no single complaint.

We really enjoyed here, it's a local restaurant for us and we were so glad to meet the chef. His stories were funny and he's an excellent cook. I enjoyed the Grouper court and my husband had Seafood Combo... these Hushpuppies were the real deal and ate with the lobster

The food was very good. Alligator was done right, not chew. My endless fish was well seasoned and not overcooked. Shrimp was very delicious. Only what I didn't like was that they didn't give a lot of tartaric acid sauce, I had to ask for more. The waitress was not very informed about the food.

Rob is awesome. Rob runs the the Shrimp Barn and makes the best grilled shrimp taco’s ever. Never thought I would mix shrimp with taco’s but there the best I ever had. No one could make better then the Shrimp Barn. Thanks again Rob for another great treat. Money well spent.

First time here, won’t be my last. Started with the bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapeño- really good! I went with the fried shrimp and catfish combo. I was a bit hesitant at first as the fried cooking style is without flour or egg, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. My wife went with coconut shrimp which she assured me was really good. I’ll have to take her word for it as she didn’t offer me a bite. The atmosphere is an actual antique store with many things for sale. Highly recommend! I forgot to take a picture of my dinner plate as I was too excited to dive in...

Good little seafood restaurant in the middle of Nowhere, IL. Unique atmosphere and plenty of seafood options from fried to grilled. Went early on a Wednesday evening and it was very slow. Had the gator, shrimp stuffed, bacon wrap jalapenos and strip steak. Salad was not very good and the smashed cauliflower was presented in a plastic cup and was pedestrian at best. If I lived in this town, I would visit regularly for the seafood.
