Scribner's Catskill Lodge

Scribner's Catskill Lodge

13 Scribner Hollow Rd, 12442, Hunter, US, United States

we loved most of the things about this uplifted, comfortable lodge embedded in the mountains, with its well-trained, friendly staff. room: we had a mountain king (with balcony) big enough if not spacious (not much space, but enough to walk comfortably around the room; comfortable bed and kissing; comfortable table, which folds up to the wall is a good height for working on laptop; large open cabinet with good quality coat hanger; raw (but no house shoes;) full length mirror; extra plastic bags in the waste basket can be used for their laundry; large HVAC system with an adjustment for simple ventilator; HEPA filters; big door to balcony with screen; magnificent view of the mountains (which is destroyed by looking at the pool below.) light problems, but not dealers: bad lighting in the room; no drawers for the storage; few and out of the outlets (we were constantly interchangeable, despotting one device to make space for another in out-of-the-way along these lines the people in the rule come to catskills outside the season at least partly for clean fresh air. I think it's a real problem that the rooms are equipped with reed diffusers (scent sticks) that add fragrant toxins into the air. some guests like them, but many will not, so why not just stay with clean, fresh air? (there was also a fragrant candle on the recipe bathroom: modern, functional; great shower; good warmth; bright. negative: small size; limited regal area. breakfast: good. dinner: very good food and good service; comfortable ambiente. note, a 20% tip is automatically added to the bill. common area: huge space in the interior; lots of terrain too. all in all a very nice, comfortable accommodation with small problems. Scribner’s, however, is not suitable for disabled persons when managing accommodation requests. [When you look at the website, you will notice that all references are aligned with “ADA access option”. however, they relate only to wheelchair access and possibly to persons with other mobility impairments. in that the guests can have a series of impediments, and there is no notice. (the image on the access page of the website has nothing to do with the impediment, which reflects the lack of inability consciousness of the accommodation higher-ups. while referring the access to the website, in fact the font, the contrast and the size is not particularly accessible as for my particular situation, my extended written impediment request was first overlooked, then worked out, then overlooked again. at the end, we have worked it out, and I believe that management now has a fundamental understanding that access to disabled people requires a system for cooperation with people who have impediments, fulfill accommodations and then monitor. I would, however, advise that guests with impediments follow their written requests with a telephone call. I think this accommodation gets it, and it is a very nice place to stay, so I would give it a chance. we often go to catskills and I want to go back to scribner. I found the service very welcoming, the room attractive and comfortable, the setting spectacular, and eating very well.
