very beautiful home town taverne with an upscale ambiente. excellent service and delicious food. Live music also at some nights. in any case a place to visit in lexington nc.

very good house cooked meals in a large part of the city also. beautiful place with many shops to walk. definitiw add this place to my regular food-out plan

racist! I will never come back here again and I will make sure that my community also know they are sitting them first when their skin is lighter. the whole waitress is rude and careless. do not look up with a party of more than 6 people on a Sunday because they have a hard time to receive them, especially when they are black. After we had initially said we had waited a 30 minute, there was little over an over, waitress assured us that our table would be short on the assigned table and said that they had to clean first, then go on to sit another family that I am sure not here before us. They all looked confused and realized they made a mistake, they all ran into the kitchen and did not bother to give themselves an excuse. bad customer service.

I was in town for the Elvis Festival and happened upon the Village Grill. I was so impressed when I walked in. The entire restaurant had been decorated in Elvis. I could tell that they had embraced the Elvis Festival coming to Lexington, NC. Service was good. Cheeseburger and fries I got were delicious.

We arrived on a busy Thursday night and expected to wait a little bit. Two couples ahead of us. One couple left after waiting and the next couple was seated a short time later. We were then next in line. A young couple came in with a small child and the hostess told them they had a table available for them since they had three and they could seat them at a larger table since they had more than two people. We didn’t think much about it and let them go ahead since they had a small child. We then waited a few minutes more and another party of four came in and we’re immediately seated. The party of four even tried to do the right thing and let us go since they knew we were there first. The hostess said no they couldn’t seat two people at a large table but could seat four people there. We walked out and will never go back. Idiotic staff ruined one of our well liked places in Lexington. Luckily there are plenty of other places to go in town that know how to treat customers. Don’t waste your time or money there.

Excellent food and it was all fresh. Good southern cooking. We will definitely be back!
