Delicious Sushi created to perfection. Many choices of dishes and food arrives very quickly and with great presentation. A little expensive but very delicious.

Everything was amazing. Expect to pay drayton valley prices. Very high. However, I'm disappointed when I ordered the pho. I'm from Vancouver and when I ordered the pho speciality.. my rice noodles came all cut up like I was a toddler and needed someone to...More

Best restaurant in town! Good prices. Very good sushi, especially for a small town. Service is good. Never really busy.

Wonderful, welcoming staff and owner. Sushi is excellent, very fresh and always consistent. The location is central with lots of parking available. We prefer to get takeout, but the restaurant does accommodate our family and 3 young children. Great pricing as well!

After backpacking through Japan for a month in 2015, sampling many different foods and drinks throughout, we were sceptical as to the authenticity of the food we were going to be served at the YOZAKURA restaurant, especially in our small town of Drayton Valley. Nonetheless, we decided to give it a try. For those who may not know, there is a huge difference between Chinese and Japanese cuisine. I lived in China for six months, and can tell you, food in China is nothing like what you find in a typical Chinese restaurant in Canada. However, I found that the Japanese food served at Yozakura was identical to what we experienced in Japan and completely authentic.Although the establishment is small, the restaurant has a cozy cherry blossom décor and a warm friendly atmosphere and feels just like the restaurants we went to in Japan. We have learned that Japanese food is not usually about big bold tastes, it is more about subtle flavours and the way these delicate tastes merge and blend with each other. While travelling in Japan we had also found a nice light beer called Asahi, which is made in Tokyo and is now my favourite beer. On our third visit to Yozakura, the owner "Ryan" (Nowpung Fang) had gone out of his way to bring some in and with a big smile brought to our table an Asahi beer for each of us. It was just like we were back in Japan eating among the cherry blossoms again.Ryan, who trained as a chef in Japan is a wonderful, friendly host and like many business owners in Japan, really cares about his customers. There are so many foods to choose from, as well as a many delicious Sushi dishes, that it will take many, many visits to try them all.In Japan we had also tried something called a Bentos box, which is selections of assorted foods in a sectioned box (which we could only find in bullet train stations). The only difference between the ones served in Japan and those served at Yozakura was that the Bentos boxes in Japan are cold, however in Canada, we like our food hot and that's just how they come at Yozakura. For a taste of authentic Japanese food I highly recommend an experience at Yozakura restaurant!

Although I was their only patron service was below average, water was not replenished as it should have been, meal was fresh & hot, no paper towels in bathroom, venue has potential but they need to pay attention all areas of the restaurant, good food is not enough in today's marketplace when running an establishment.

This is a wonderful restaurant in Drayton Valley. It is absolutely wonderful to have Japanese cuisine in the community. We were four in our dining party and ordered a variety of meals... all were delicious. The restaurant is clean. A little old but charming. The staff was welcoming and polite. The food was brought in a timely manner.A very enjoyable lunch. Will definitely return.
