This was our first experience with a Ramen Noodle Restaurant, and we enjoyed the experience. The communal table did not deter us from selecting and appreciating the food from a fairly straightforward menu. The process is simple but effective. It was supposed to be a quick lunch for four but it was an opportunity to try something new and delicious. We'd do it again.
Grillies has amazing food, super fresh and delicious! Service was fast and they have a ton of options to choose from. I heard their tacos were really good so I just got 3 tacos, chicken, fish, and beef. Beef was my favourite one but the others were good too. I would definitely come back to try more items on their menu!!
Had the pleasure of dining here on the weekend during the Chinatown Festival. Simple, casual restaurant that isn't fancy or pretentious but just serves tasty, authentic Mexican food. I tried the chorizo and al pastor tacos and they left me wanting more. Flavourful tacos, packed with meat, cheese and love. The guacamole was very good as well but the chips were not the best. Too salty and tasted store bought. Finished off the meal with leche cake and Mexican coffee. A very satisfying experience and highly recommended!
After checking online reviews, schedule a last minute business lunch. We were not disappointed. From the provolenta (I think that's the name) and stuffed prawn starters to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our meal was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area.
Great location, nice ambience, great primary service. Unfortunately, most of the follow-up was done by other, unskilled runners/busers. This is where the great service went completely downhill. My question to the restaurant is why do you "finish" plates at the table, when the staff are not qualified to do so? The lobster bisque is poured at the table and, in our case, was poured in the bowl, on the under-liner, on the table and in a lap. The dessert came with a berry compot which unfortunately the server/buser ended up dumping onto another guests pants! Why not just finish the plates in the kitchen? This kind of service is great when done properly, but in this case it just makes the otherwise great service seem really poor. My final impression of an otherwise great night is all of us leaving with food stains on our clothing from sloppy service!
