buzzy and fried cats. the brisket was a bit dry, but not bad. the front of the restaurant offers a great view of the chatuge lake.

the first time it eats this afternoon. we had to wait to get our food. short personal. but wait is worth it! I'll eat there again!

great personal, clean restaurant and hubby says the bathroom of men is good. we had catfish fingers, they were delicious. our main food was a 4 meat deal and we chose brisket, huh, pulled pork and sausage. the flesh was great. we both didn't like the Cole stole, she was called dixie, and it was to vinegary us. the beans could use some work, near right from the dose. Sweet sauce was not very sweet. about all these are personal preferences, restaurant was good.

Great portions and absolutely delicious. We had the 1/2 chicken plate with fries and beans and the 8oz brisket plate with onion rings and mac and cheese.They forgot to give us our texas toast but the meal was still good. The sides taste homemade and were so amazingly great. The chicken and brisket were tasty and left us with lunch for tomorrow even after giving the dog a little bite of each. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back, so worth it!

The BBQ chicken was melt in your mouth tender. I had red skin potato salad and macaroni and cheese for my two sides and it was more than I could eat. There's a great view of Lake Chatuge from the patio and the front row of booths inside the restaurant.The wait staff was very friendly.

Wife and I went Friday evening. Plenty of parking available with maybe the best view in Hiawassee. No kidding!! The view was so incredible a few years ago that I made it my Screensaver...and it still gets comments. That view made me want to live here so we retired to the mountains because of the view out the front window of HWBBQ CH. True story. The restaurant is spacious with outside tables that are worth waiting for on a warm day. The menu focuses on aforementioned BBQ Catfish but has other items like Country Fried Steak, Smoked Turkey, Smoked Italian Sausage, Fried Shrimp Smoked Chicken Wings. I had the BBQ Pork Plate with 2 sides Carolina Slaw vinegar-based) Baked Beans) and Wife had the Crispy Catfish filet. The pulled pork plate is legit BBQ! Nice bark w/ a proper smoke ring and juicy pork...and plenty of it. Enough for a 2nd meal. The Baked Beans were really tasty as well. I got them on the recommendation of our waitress who said they use their house BBQ sauce to make it. Great advice on her part and great service for our meal. The Carolina Slaw was oily and had an odd off flavor. Some of the slaw looked limp. Normally I like vinegar based slaw but this was the one criticism I had about my meal. My wife's Catfish was good but she thought the fish could have been just a bit more crispy. She got the Collard greens and liked them and we both liked the acclaimed hushpuppies. Great meal, great service, and as I said...great view!

Where do I begin Started with an order of fried onion rings six rings for 7.99! Move on to two orders of catfish and a rack of ribs. The two orders of ff that came with the dinners were cold, the baked beans can straight out of a van de camps can, the catfish was JUST ok and the rack of ribs was bone dry. I know help is hard to find, because no body wants to work, but our waitress was below average. Will not be going back.
