Peppino's Foothill Ranch

very welcoming environment, going for the first time and the service was top notch! spend a lot of time eating our meals and always watching to check on us. a waiter gave us almost another table after we ate, hon! but I felt satisfied and very satisfied with the place.

they serve good portions. service was courteous, with taking out a rather unfriendly host who sat us close to the car full of used dresses, although obviously there was a better table near. the mushroom marinara was slightly watery. the Clam sauce spaghetti paired with white wine is however commendable. music is good. a nice place to hang around with friends. they want the terrace with the cool summer air and the star night.

I arranged for a large group to eat in this restaurant while we visited from the city for a sporting event. it was the birthday of our trainer and we wanted to celebrate. I called well in advance, made a reservation for 26 people and explained that we would need separate controls from the family. I then called the day before to talk to the manager and confirm the reservation to ensure that they are properly occupied. despite my efforts when we arrived, there was only one person waiting for us, and they let our tables take off from a cool evening. fortunately they had set heating so we were in order, but no one told me that during booking and I would have warned the people in our party to dress warm. the one waitress that served us was rude, she was obviously not happy to deal with us, and told us that we all had to be on a deck. I explained that I had spoken to the manager and that we could join together to make fewer controls, but we could not make a big review because this would be too complicated. a person in our party also had an allergy and when they told her about it, she seemed upset about what she concerned so that she went and went somewhere else. she was very unhappy and made it very obvious. it took 45 minutes to get drinks (and come to find out some of the children never even drink at all, not even water) and we were not served our food until an hour and a half of the waiting. it was a terrible experience and ruined what should have been a beautiful evening. I tried to talk to the manager three times after I let him know that he could be aware of the problems that occurred, but he was never available to talk to me.

Food was amazing. Service was Excellent. I enjoyed the live band that was playing. The only negative was a drunk woman another customer that was entirely rude and put her purse and jacket on the table we were sitting at telling her friend that the seat was open and to sit there. When there was a table that was really open on the other side of us. Just because a chair isn't being used does not make it an available for anybody to sit at while having dinner. Despite the womans rude behavior she soon became part of the evening's entertainment. All and all I had a wonderful time!!!!

peppinos serves Italian cuisine since it opened its first location in the lake forest in 1984. Since then, they have opened standings in mission viejo, foothill ranch and a pizzeria in aliso viejo. the location in the foothill ranch anchors the food dish and offers the only table service among the choices. it is great for business or birthdays during the business day. they have a terrace seat, which is wonderful on a warm spring day. the service is always friendly and they feel like they are part of their family.

the pizza in this restaurant is great. at the suggestion of another critic I had the thin crust pizza with paprika, mushrooms and fresh garlic. it was fantastic. the service was decent. we had a very friendly waitress. the decoration is nothing to stick. the tables are arranged near one another.

the best thin crust pizza anywhere west of nyc. try a large with Italian sausage, mushrooms and fresh garlic. amazing!
